I'd been looking for a new tool chest for awhile, and craigslist wasn't providing, so I got this. Craftsman 5 Drawer unit. Sears had it on sale from $245 to $160. I'm happy with it, and it cleared up a lot of space on my desk.

good score on the box, but i'm having a hard time deciding which is cooler, the motorcycle cam lamp or the flooded sign...(flooded sign really only applies when working with carbs, lamp is awesome regardless)

Cam is actually out of a 454. The block that used to house it is now a coffee table in my living room, and the crank got turned into an end table and is just slightly out of frame. Thanks!

but center gear? I've got a block to turn into a table. and legs to stant it on, and a thick tempered glass top...but I need to prep it for paint & hone the cylinders before throwing it together.

That's the timing chain. I kinda wrapped it around itself and made a decorative ring.
That engine block table ^^^^ is my brothers, mine's below.

I bet those tables are not the most fun things to move. mine will be an sbc, and I have to dolly it around.

Wow. How cool. All you guys must be single. Housemates, wives, old ladies, etc., generally do not allow that stuff in the house. Me jealous.

Girlfriend doesn't live with me, but she does like the engine block coffee table! The lamp and end table stay in the garage though. Too heavy and dirty to have in the house.

Nice little box. If you need to expand. I can't recommend highly enough the Harbor Freight 44" box. Frequently on sale for $359 or less and built like a tank. Check out the Garage Journal thread about tool boxes and the extensive review an individual conducted. I LOVE mine.

This one? I'll keep that in mind. When it comes to quality (which is what you want out of a tool chest), Harbor Freight is usually as far from my mind as possible, but they do sell some items that are genuinely good. From the reviews, this box is one of those items.

That is the one. I thought the same thing until I read this thread http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthre…
and checked out one for myself. The quality is WAY above a lot of normal HF stuff.
